Interactive booth experience for Abitab, on the occasion of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™.


Our passion for football makes us roar, that's why we developed an interactive experience that compares a participant's goal shout, with that of "predator" Luis Suárez.


The Beginning

Abitab, the leading company in collection and payment transactions in Uruguay, had one objective: create an innovative experience that would connect with our passion for football.

At Takeoff we know about passion (and code), so we designed an interactive booth that rotated through Abitab’s payment locations, so customers and visitors could make us vibrate with their voices.

This is how #RugidoDeGol was born:

We developed an interactive experience, through a solution that uses an integrated camera and microphone. Using audio analysis, we made people compete with our star player Luis Suárez.

The system recorded thousands of people shouting a goal (and also showing their passion with their faces) establishing a comparison with the intensity of Luis' shout as a baseline.

We designed a had the booth built to specifications. Our team installed the necessary infrastructure to make the game work reliably and connected.
We had a backup of video recordings and user registrations synchronized in real time trough mobile broadband. This way, our team could access and troubleshoot the solution from our offices, as well as providing real-time backup of the usage metrics.

Abitab accomplished their goal and the booth recorded thousands of shouts. No ears where harmed in the production of the video case ;).
